About the event

There are moments when a conversation shifts something deep within, a quiet revolution sparked not by noise, but by clarity.

Some weeks ago, members of Local Threads found themselves sitting in a circle at the @agatsufoundation, drawn together by curiosity and the quiet wisdom of Akshay. What began as a session on personal finance, budgeting, investments, and debt, soon unraveled into something more profound. With each insight, he held up a mirror to our assumptions, challenging not just how we spend and save, but how we think, how we fear, and how we dream.

That day, we realised that managing money is not just about numbers, it’s about stories we’ve inherited, beliefs we’ve never questioned, and the futures we quietly desire.

Moved by this encounter, we invited Akshay once again, this time to sit with our Threads community. Not to teach, but to unearth. Not to dictate, but to question.

Together, we revisited the myths we carry about wealth and debt, explored the emotional weight of our wallets, and found the courage to imagine a more mindful relationship with money. It was not just a workshop; it was a reckoning. And for many of us, it was the beginning of a gentler, wiser journey with our finances.
