We gathered for our very first event on October 22, 2023, one made even more special as it was led by one of our own, Sourav Dutta, documentary filmmaker & cofounder of Local Threads Collective. (we can hyperlink their personal or organisation profile)

The journey began at Karmayog Udyan, where Sourav gently unfolded the art of photography, weaving technique with intuition. With our mobile cameras ready and eyes newly awakened, we set off on a quiet walk towards Van Vihar Garden, letting the city’s ordinary scenes reveal their hidden poetry. Along the way, each participant began to see differently, to frame moments, to chase light, to listen to silence through their mobile camera.

At Van Vihar, Sourav invited us into the next chapter, mobile editing magic with SnapSeed. Our captured stories found shape and color, breathing life through subtle edits.

We ended with a circle of stories, each image a window, each participant a storyteller. In that shared space, something shifted. Not just how we saw the world, but how we chose to hold and share it.
